Can existing manual gates be automated?

Yes, they can be automated but there will be some exceptions and much will depend on the layout of the overall site, the state of repair of the existing gates, the gate support posts, the gate hinges and the gate leaf alignment.

What happens during a power cut?

Most, if not all gate operators have a manual release, which unlocks the gate and allows it to be pushed open. We also offer a back up power device that allows the gate to operate normally during a power outage.

What is the range of the remote control hand transmitters?

Generally, hand held remote handsets can work from up to 30 metres away. Remotes work on radio wave frequencies, actual range will depend on various local environmental factors, and a low battery can also affect distance.

Do automatic gates need maintenance?

All automated gate systems will need some form of maintenance each year. The amount and type of maintenance will depend on the system installed. By having the automation serviced each year, it extends the life of the product.
